It shares the platform and much of the hardware, but VW fits its own front end, cab, trim grades, infotainment and driver assistance, and it is sold and serviced through VW Commercial dealers. On paper the load bays are close, so compare rental, dealer proximity and cab preference.
Why does the Transporter cost more than a Vivaro or Expert?
Partly specification, partly demand. Strong second-hand values usually work in your favour on contract hire because the funder expects the van to be worth more at the end, but the Transporter still tends to sit above the Stellantis vans. We will quote it against them so the gap is visible.
