Around a tonne on a single cab, and less once you add a toolbox, a mesh cage or a crew cab. Wet spoil and hardcore are heavy, and a level body of aggregate will often exceed your plated weight. Load by weight, not by eye — the fines and the licence points fall on you.
Should I take steel or aluminium sides?
Aluminium is lighter and protects your payload; steel survives abuse from a grab and a mini digger bucket better. If you tip hardcore and demolition waste, the extra weight of steel may be worth it. Tell us what goes in the back and we will spec it properly.
Can the tipper be leased with a mesh cage or toolbox?
Yes, and it is much cheaper built in at conversion stage than retro-fitted. Both take weight out of your payload, so we will work the numbers before you order rather than leaving you to find out at a weighbridge.
