ULEZ, the Congestion Charge and 25,000 miles
Courier van leasing in London
A London courier is the operator most exposed to both charges at once: the ULEZ covers every borough at £12.50 a day for non-compliant vans, and the central Congestion Charge is separate and additional. On a round that runs five or six days a week, the compliance of the vehicle and the mileage allowance are worth more than the monthly rental.
Get my quote →Why this is different here
Two things stack here that do not stack anywhere else on this site. A courier round is high mileage AND high frequency inside a charged zone, so a non-compliant van pays the ULEZ on nearly every working day while also burning through a mileage allowance. Our courier rate exists for exactly this shape of work: 25,000 miles a year with service and maintenance included, because a van doing dense multi-drop wears differently to one doing motorway miles.
What that means for the van
- Every van we supply is new and Euro 6, so the ULEZ charge does not apply. That is £12.50 a day not spent.
- The Congestion Charge is separate and is not avoided by a compliant van. If the round is central, price it in, it is a business cost, not a vehicle one.
- Our courier profile buys 25,000 miles a year and includes service and maintenance. A dense London round will use them.
- Business contract hire is for limited companies and LLPs. A self-employed courier takes vehicle hire on the same vehicles and the same terms.
The London charges in full
Zone boundaries, the daily charge and the emissions standard a van has to meet are set out on the London page, with the sources. They change, so check a specific registration on the GOV.UK clean air zone guidance before relying on any of it.
The vans we supply
All supplied new, so all Euro 6. Rates are monthly and exclude VAT.
Prices are guide figures ex VAT, pictures are illustrations, and nothing here is stock standing on a forecourt. What that means →
How to read these listings
Prices: Monthly rentals shown are guide prices and exclude VAT unless labelled otherwise. They are indicative “from” figures quoted against a 12-month term at the mileage allowance shown for the vehicle, and they move with the exact variant, the mileage, the initial rental and the outcome of underwriting. Last reviewed 1 September 2026. We confirm your actual monthly rental, and what it includes, in writing before anything is agreed.
Images: Vehicle images are computer-generated illustrations of a representative example, not photographs of the vehicle supplied. Exact trim, colour, body length, roof height and equipment vary by specification.
Availability: Listings show the vehicles we can supply, not stock held on site. Specific variants, trim levels, body conversions and delivery dates depend on factory lead times and availability at the time you order, and some vehicles are build-to-order. Nothing is reserved for your business until we confirm it in writing. If we cannot get the exact vehicle you have asked for, we will tell you and set out the closest alternative we can. Delivery is to business addresses in England and Wales, and we confirm the arrangements, the timing and any delivery cost on your quote.

Questions
Can a London business lease a van from FleetMe?
A London courier is the operator most exposed to both charges at once: the ULEZ covers every borough at £12.50 a day for non-compliant vans, and the central Congestion Charge is separate and additional. On a round that runs five or six days a week, the compliance of the vehicle and the mileage allowance are worth more than the monthly rental. We deliver to your business address across England and Wales, there is no depot or counter to visit.
Which vehicles do you supply?
Three panel vans (small, medium and large) plus company cars, all supplied new on agreements of up to 12 months. Lutons, tippers, dropsides, crew cabs and pickups are sourced to order and quoted individually. The stock list has every rate.
Who can take business contract hire?
Limited companies and LLPs. Sole traders take vehicle hire on the same vehicles and the same terms, we never call that route leasing. Private individuals hiring for personal use are not supplied.
